BRIEF HISTORY OF MBC
Maranatha Baptist Church was established in the year 1958 by two members and their families, Mr. Bijimi Magaji and Mr. Kure Tumadi, this persons came to together and parted home cell at Kwat. Sabon Tasha-Kaduna (Sabon Tasha-Kaduna Daji) at Bijimi house after sometimes the home cell was relocated to Kanrun main town in 1958 and it was established as a full Church as Maranatha Baptist Church, Sabon Tasha-Kaduna, during that time, Mr. Bijimi was the one in charge of the Church, and pastor Ayo was the one visiting them overseeing the church growth, then in 1968, Pastor, Pst. Audi Bako, After Pst. Audi, a member took over Mr. Benenchet Dutse, after that, retire Pst. Daniel Magaji took over, after Pst. Daniel then Pastor Tambaya Bako took over.
After him, a member held for sometimes Mr. Andrew Danagwari, after him, vocation pastor took over, after him, Pst. Shehu Baka took over, after him, Rev. I Ibrahim took over, after him Rev. Nikyu Alkali took over, after him, a member held for three years, Rt. Rev. Alexander, after him, Rev. Zachariah Wasa the current pastor in change now. -Rev. Wasa
